Congratulations to Paul Mitchell on his recent election to National Senior Vice President. A huge thanks to Paul (and Lisa) for his many years on the Executive Board of INTO, the last three as President. He brought new energy and ideas to the INTO Executive Board and will do the same in his new position.
The Governing Board also elected Gary Millner as President, Pamela Richard as Secretary and Barbara Smith as Treasurer.
In addition, the Governing Board, in a meeting that lasted over eight hours, approved a budget with no increase in dues, the ability of FMCA, with Governing Board approval, to operate under an assumed business name, and new mission and purpose statements. With the exception of the budget, all of these items will be submitted to the membership for final approval.
The following items were approved and took effect immediately;
a new strategic plan
a new procedure to modify the emblem which also requires that it be used on all official documents, publications, badges & websites. Any change requires Governing Board approval.
a new membership category entitled “Pathfinder” which does not require ownership of an RV
a new policy on approval of logos for FMCA. These require approval of the Executive Board.

The business of the INTO Area continues. I will be leading your Executive Board until such time as a new President is elected to fulfill the remainder of Paul’s term which ends August 17, 2024. A call for nominations will soon be issued by the National Office to the National Directors. Then a ballot of those nominated will be distributed to the National Directors. A new President is expected to be confirmed by early December.
If the new President is selected from a member of the INTO Executive Board, the Nominating Committee will seek candidates for the vacant position. An individual from the slate provided by the Nominating Committee will be elected by the INTO? Executive Board.
The INTO Executive Board met twice in Gillete at the National Convention. The new Treasurer, Nick Gilliam and two Vice Presidents; Mike Neighbors (incumbent) and Ginny Yelland (newly elected) were installed. The planning of the 2024 rally, “Mosey INTO Muskogee”, at the Hatbox Event Center in Muskogee, OK, May 17 to 20, 2024, was a major topic of discussion. I have atached a registration form for you to distribute to your chapter. The EB also authorized a revised website to be hosted by FMCA. Steve Richards was approved as our new webmaster. He will be assisted in developing the website by a commitee consisting of Bob Heiges, Rocky Lippold, Paul Mitchell and myself. Additionally, a new Nominating Commitee was elected consisting of Mandy Canales, Lisa Mitchell and Charlsanne Miskell.
I also had the opportunity to attend the formation meeting of a new chapter in the INTO Area, RV Basic Alumni. I wish to welcome them to the INTO Family and look forward to attending their future meetings.
